If only we had access to metrics that prove a playlist's credibility. So I started tracking every metric on every playlist, every day.

I built a basic algorithm that detected anomalies in daily follower growth. Then started flagging repeat offenders. After that, started blacklisting known scam emails. 

3 years later, we've now built the most sophisticated bot detection algorithm on the planet, and the universe's largest collection of Spotify playlist data.
