We Help Music Teams See What’s Real
artist.tools is a music intelligence platform. It started as a record label’s own tool for spotting fake streams. Today artists, managers, labels and distributors use it to check playlists, research curators and see what’s actually working.
As preached by
Why We Built artist.tools
artist.tools started inside our own record label.
We kept paying for playlist campaigns without knowing which ones helped our artists and which ones put them at risk of fake streams. The tools that could answer that were built for major labels and distributors, and priced like it. Independent artists and small teams got surface-level stats and vague campaign reports.
So we built the tool we wished we had: check a playlist before you pitch it, see who runs it, and see whether a campaign brought real listeners.
Stream fraud has only gotten harder to spot since. Botted playlists look polished, bot networks spread across many curators, and many artists hit by fake streams never bought them. Our goal hasn’t changed: help artists and the people around them see what’s real, avoid what’s risky, and grow with better data.
What artist.tools Does
- Bot detection. Check any playlist, artist or track for signs of artificial streaming, free and without an account. Bot Checker
- Spotify analytics. Streams, listeners, playlist adds and history for any artist or track, not just your own. Spotify Analytics
- Search and curator contacts. Search 32M+ playlists and 25M+ tracks, and reach the curators behind them. Music Search
- Spotify SEO. See which searches bring listeners to playlists, and where yours rank. Spotify SEO
- Press tracking. The articles and sites that mention an artist or a playlist. Press Mentions
- Your data in AI assistants. Ask about any artist, track or playlist from ChatGPT or Claude. Spotify MCP
What Makes Us Different
- We built it for ourselves first. artist.tools came out of a working label. Every feature started as a question we needed answered for our own artists.
- Free where it matters. The Bot Checker and our free tools need no account. Knowing whether a playlist is safe shouldn’t be a paid feature.
- Public pricing. Start free; paid plans run from $15/month for artists to $250/month for developers using the API. Every plan and price is public, so there’s no sales call to find out what it costs.
- One platform for every size. The same data serves an artist checking one playlist and a distributor watching a whole catalog, in the app, through the API or in AI assistants.
- Recommended by the industry. DistroKid, UnitedMasters, TooLost, ReverbNation and Ditto recommend artist.tools to their artists.
